HP iPAQ rw6828 ROM Update
HP have released firmware update 1.01.03 for the rw6828.
I'll be interested to see if this fixed the annoying "feature" where the wireless card spontaneously turns itself on - a great way to shorten the battery life.
Update: This update refuses to install via my Vista machine. I'll try it at home on the WinXP box to see if it is happier. I had a small panic until I read the readme.txt file which said if the upgrade fails, just pull the battery out and restart it - phew!

Hi! I found your blog over google looking for infos about the rw6828. I got it as well and I was wonderung if you can tell me if the update increases the quality of the camera by any chance. Maybe you can put an overview of the update on your blog? Of course only if you got time.

active sync currently doesnt work with vista...
Vista does not support ActiveSync at all.
You use Windows Mobile Device Center instead.

The iPAQ RW6828 speaker and mic are disabled once the headset is used for the FM radio. HP says that this is fixed in the new BIOS version. But it is not yet fixed. Headset seems to be the only option for phone usage. Poor testing by HP prior to Product relese!!

my ipaq rw6828 some menu dissapears, tried to hard reset (red+blue+on/off+reset button) but didn't work. I did update ROM and succesful but some menu still dissapears. How to fix this problem?
